Audience: CTE Directors, district staff, school staff, educators

The 2021-22 Perkins Reserve Grant (PRG) Application Guide and Notice of Intent to Apply are now available for district planning purposes.
The PRG is a competitive grant opportunity used to drive innovation in career and technical education (CTE) at the local level and aid in the implementation of career pathways leading to high-wage, high-skill, and in-demand career opportunities. The 2021-22 PRG is also designed to support the priorities of the Strengthening Career and Technical Education in Tennessee State Plan to ensure equitable access to CTE, expand participation in aligned career pathways, and increase the number of students participating in high-quality and career-focused learning experiences like work-based learning.
This year, districts will submit a single combined application detailing proposed projects supporting secondary CTE and/or secondary and postsecondary CTE partnerships, otherwise known as regional career pathways. Districts are eligible to receive up to $250,000 total in PRG funding with a $50,000 maximum award for proposals supporting secondary CTE and $200,000 maximum for proposals supporting regional career pathways.
Districts must submit a Notice of Intent to Apply by Monday, March 15, 2021. The 2021-22 PRG application submission window opens in ePlan on Monday, March 22, 2021, and closes on Friday, April 30, 2021. Awarded PRG funding will be available beginning July 1, 2021.
